A Letter To Another Me
Forest Floor

As we come out of lockdown, a lot of us are scared, given the new parameters that govern our movement within the world. Forest Floor a film made by sisters Briony and Georgia Mitchell, filmed during lockdown on a walk we took with our mum, explores the unconscious ways many of us used space before, and it looks forward to now, when we have to move through the world more consciously than ever.

The Last Time We Were Here

The film The Last Time We Were Here, is a semi-collaborative reconstruction of the past, between myself and my sister. The film aims to portray a continuous melancholic feeling of being displaced from the family, and from the childhood home, located in the banality of suburbia.

The split screen edit depicts a fragment of my mother, juxtaposed to the all-encompassing and intimate shots of my sister. Myself and my sister become one being in the film. This occurs because of the presence of myself behind the camera, where the amount of direction I pose upon her, has the same weight of her directing me with the camera, with her subtle gestures and movement.
